On May 28th, the POPB crew returned to POPPA for another project.  We tackled two jobs this time.  First, we installed gates across the main and back driveways into the facility.  This involved setting gate posts and hanging the gates.  These gates provide more security for the staff, flora and fauna that inhabit the grounds.

Our second task was to design and build a horseshoe game pit.  How, you may ask, does this help the animals?  Well, very simply put - the Gardens are becoming more of a 'destination spot'.  With more to see and do at the Gardens, visitors will feel comfortable bringing the family, staying longer, and buying more plants - and all of the proceeds go to fund spay and neuter operations!

Many thanks to our volunteers for making this a successful day!
