Cat Adoption Team Project......................

The Cat Adoption Team wanted to turn one of their hallway areas into a free-roam room.

In honor of their oldest resident, they decided to name this the “Princess Room”. On the weekend of March 5th, several POPB volunteers set up shop at CAT and began the transformation.

Princess sat on the desk nearby to keep an eye on us and make sure all was well.

As well as creating the new room, our tireless volunteers also did a make-over on the existing free-roam room right next door. Both rooms were cleaned and given a fresh coat of paint. Netting was stretched along the top of the walls to create a cat-proof ceiling that still let in lots of light. Two recycled glass-pane doors were hung to give access and visibility to both rooms. Finally, an incredibly talented artist friend created an entrance sign, which added just the perfect touch of royalty.

Many thanks to all the POPB and CAT volunteers who helped create this room, which created more space for the cats to roam and relax in. And, Princess seemed quite satisfied with the results!
